Calling all Artists!

Studio Voltaire is always interested in seeking talented artists and photographers to join the group. As experienced art buyers in the publishing and greeting card industries, we know how to talk to publishers, negotiate contracts and art direct to maximize royalties for the artist. Besides talent, what we are seeking in artists is the creative individual who understands the specific needs of a client and are willing to adapt their imagery to work with them. We are striving to differentiate ourselves in the marketplace by offering art that can be altered if a client requests it. Most of our licensing deals have gone through with no alterations whatsoever. On occasion a client will make a request to crop or alter a piece to more fluidly work with their publishing goals and at Studio Voltaire we want to work with artists who understand this.

If you are seeking an inroad to licensing and feel that your work is right for us, please drop us an e-mail. We can accept your submission on a web site or by e-mail attachments (PDF or JPG formats please). Please be kind when sending attachments by including only images which are compressed, under 1MG in size, or in small batches so our e-mail doesn't go on the fritz. We are glad to accept art submissions via snail mail as well. All CDs must include a printout showing thumbnails of each image.If you want to get your work back, please include a self addressed stamped envelope. ANY SUBMISSIONS WHICH DON'T INCLUDE A SELF ADDRESSED STAMPED ENVELOPE OR INSUFFICIENT POSTAGE WILL NOT BE RETURNED! Sorry, but there are no exceptions.
