Northern California artist Todd Lovett is inspired by his love of gardening and architecture. Born in Southern California, Lovett attended college in Sacramento and San Jose, receiving his degree in fine art.   He began his studies in traditional oil and acrylic and moved on to watercolors, a far more challenging medium. His vivid floral paintings burst with color and movement, capturing the intensity and detail of his botanical subjects. Lovett says, "I love how the paint reacts just a bit beyond my control at times, creating unplanned surprises...it's as though the paint has chosen a direction of its own." The artist is also an accomplished textile designer and brings his love of color and texture to an exciting array of textile designs.
